Libraries are a communities best kept secret! It is a place dedicated to the betterment of its residents. I have done nearly all my writing, for this blog, The Huffington Post, Omaha Steaks, speaking engagements and work on my own book, from libraries.
The Library of The Chathams, New Jersey is the one place that I can say has been the most helpful and accommodating. Last April I was a guest speaker in Vienna, Austria for the 5th Annual Networking World Anesthesia Convention. To prepare for this event I basically lived in the Chatham Library for two weeks.
The PowerPoint presentation that I put together was presented to doctors and anesthesiologists from around the globe. When I returned from Vienna the Chatham librarians were very excited and interested to know how my presentation went. They I was asked if I would give the same presentation to the Chatham community. My answer was a definite yes! Since this library has successfully been expanding their outreach speaker programs to the community, the next available date for me was mid-September.
It will be a fun afternoon. Not only will I present a very informative PowerPoint on good nutrition and the spirituality of change but you will actually be sitting in the place where this very health-minded presentation was created. Kudos to the Library of The Chathams, New Jersey!
Topics will be:
- How to increase energy levels without the highs and lows of sugar, fizzy drinks and caffeine.
- The health benefits of juicing.
- A holistic approach to a healthier life.
I hope to see some of you there! Click here for directions >> Library of The Chathams
