I have some absolutely wild news to share! As of last week two fabulous supermarkets in the Lancaster, Pennsylvania area have decided to partner up on my Minnesota Wild Rice Griddle Cakes. Yes, these griddle cakes have officially left their home in the Midwest and are beginning to make strides in Pennsylvania. Remarkably enough not one but two very special supermarkets will now carry this new and extremely versatile product. Stauffers of Kissel Hill and Shady Maple are institutions in the Lancaster area community.
Stauffers of Kissel Hill Supermarkets are paired with home and garden centers. This upscale supermarket has a wonderful atmosphere as well as a great selection of local products. Their Home and Garden centers carry an array of annuals, perennials, shrubs, trees along with other garden accouterments.
Shady Maple is a small village all by itself! The recently remodeled Shady Maple Farm Market, features local produce, fresh baked goods and smoked meats prepared on site. A stone’s throw from the Farm Market you will find the Shady Maple Smorgasbord, consists of over 200 feet Lancaster’s finest foods. And as if that weren’t enough there is also a 40,000 square foot gift shop of Amish furniture & handicrafts, PA Dutch foods, souvenirs, sports memorabilia, toys, games and collectibles.
I would like to send a big thank you to Stauffers and Shady Maple for their support! These stores are located deep in the heart of Lancaster County and Amish Country. The Wild Rice Griddle Cakes will fit in nicely with both stores and allow for the community to try something new, delicious and healthy. This is exciting!
I’ll be cooking live in both stores this summer starting in June. Please check in on my Facebook or Twitter accounts to learn more.
Whenever you visit the delightful Amish Country of Pennsylvania, remember to stop by these regional markets to pick up some local specialties along with a box of Minnesota Wild Rice Griddle Cakes. Wildly delicious!
