Spring is always a very welcomed season after a long cold winter. It’s the time of year when all in nature comes alive again. Farmer’s markets begin to pop up and with that comes many special springtime foods. One favorite is those ever so delicious sweet springtime peas. If you see them in your supermarket or local farmer’s markets quickly buy them. They will disappear fast!

We showcased a Halal butcher shop in the “Little India” section of Iselin, New Jersey. Then came back to the kitchen to cook the Halal goat and make a delicious spring pea risotto.
