As of a few weeks ago, I have been writing for New Theory Magazine to provide content for their cutting-edge online magazine. The magazine’s audience is predominately Millenials, Gen X, and Gen Z. So, there is something for everyone to enjoy!
I submitted an article earlier this week titled Cruise Lines Post COVID-19. The pandemic has caused unsurmountable economic losses for this multi-billion-dollar-a-year industry. How will cruise lines make a comeback? What will be the new norm for passengers and crew members to adhere to in order to not bring the virus onboard? Lastly, what new standards will be implemented by the United States Public Health (USPH) inspectors? You will learn more about USPH and what it means to employees on a cruise ship when you read my latest New Theory Magazine article.
And, let’s not forget that the cruise line industry has faced many difficult times and they’ve always bounced back. The sea has a great allure for many people and cruise lines will always have their loyal followers that look forward to their pleasure cruises. As resilient as the cruise industry may seem it has never faced such a calamity as a worldwide pandemic. How will cruise ship travelers and staff be thoroughly screened once a cruise starts to sail through its itinerary to exotic ports of call? How will the daily cleaning be enhanced on cruise ships to create a comforting feeling for passengers and employees?
Coronavirus does not show symptoms in a person for several days after contracting it. If someone did pick up the virus while ashore they could spread it to others without even knowing it. This is a big challenge for cruise lines. Yes, the vaccine will help in many ways. But how will cruise lines control and standardize acceptance of vaccines from people that will be from all over the world? This is the dilemma that the cruise industry faces at the moment. I tried shedding some light on this subject in my latest article in New Theory Magazine. Who knows maybe safely sailing to beautiful locations will be a possibility sometime in the near future.
